11 Woodlawn Avenue West is a historic masonry building located in Toronto, Ontario, featuring decorative brickwork, large arched window openings, and intricate architectural detailing. SBC Masonry & Restoration was retained to complete a comprehensive masonry restoration and facade rehabilitation program aimed at preserving the building’s architectural character while addressing deterioration throughout the exterior envelope.

The project involved extensive brick replacement, repointing, masonry repairs, and localized rebuilding of deteriorated sections across multiple elevations. Particular attention was given to matching the existing masonry units, mortar profiles, and architectural details to ensure repairs blended seamlessly with the original construction. Decorative brick features and prominent facade elements were carefully restored to maintain the historic appearance of the structure while improving its long-term durability and performance.

Due to the building’s height, limited access conditions, and complex architectural projections, the project required an intricate scaffold system designed to provide safe access to multiple elevations and hard-to-reach restoration areas.
